Passion & Purity 15ml

At an event in Bristol, a Hendrick’s gin evening at the Botanist, Sarah was given a rose bush. This rare rose is now growing in her garden, back in West London where it was first bred by Gunnersbury House gardener Fred Goodwin. His granddaughter is our long time customer, Deborah, and it was she who turned up at the event with a rose bush in a bag. Sarah had to wait until the following year before it bloomed; you might have seen it on our Instagram. It’s an amazing pink that turns to mauve then turns more blue as it ages, with hundreds of narrow petals packed into each flower.

It also smells wonderful, and this is our attempt at capturing it in perfume. We do love making roses, and this one was a pleasure.
