Blaze of Glory Collection - Our Shop

Four phenomenal new fragrances. Order in advance for delivery in autumn 2026. To thank you for waiting, taking a risk and for trusting us, please take off 50% using the code BlazeOfGlory.

Like the collection, this part of the shop is still a work in progress, and we'll be updating it as we go along.

They represent the aromas we might encounter in an imaginary hell, earth, heaven and limbo, fantasy flowers, fruit and trees. Our aim is that their botanical powers will inspire and alter the reality or our daily lives, in a good way of course.

Please read and watch before you commit. They are not ready yet. You will have to wait, and you must trust us to make something wonderful, but the reward is a substantial discount.

Photos currently show the artwork as gicle prints, glued on by hand. The finished labels are going to knock your socks off!

Part of the story - by Sarah

Originally I imagined creating three fragrances, the aromas of plants you’d find growing in heaven, on earth and in hell. This idea grew from the Dr Greta Helsing novels by Vivian Shaw. There will be a reading list for the Blaze of Glory Collection. In fact each fragrance has had so many names that the collection’s origin story might end up as a book of its own. There will probably be extras too; I’m almost certain there will be postcards to colour in, and a new set of badges.

It started as a triptych and it turned into a quartet, because one of the scents I made last year I love so much that I can’t let it go, but while it’s set on earth, it tells a different story, a balance of baking, water, fire, captivity, fear, hope and earth, plus a peach tree. That one is named Equilibrium.

Throughout 2025 I worked on several projects for new and familiar clients, introducing myself to adventurous materials I hadn’t tried before, and ordering in luxurious absolutes to create what they wanted. (I shall probably never surpass Elvis, Joanne Harris and Lidl all in one year.)

I had also smelled any number of beautiful fragrances made by my own past and current students. I’m always overjoyed and impressed when my students launch their own wonderful perfumes. Many of them are still members of my online scent community at www.Patreon.com/Scenthusiasm. They have been picking up awards and nominations at the Art & Olfaction Awards and the Fragrance Foundation. Amer Alradhi has already won two Golden Pears! (I’ve been nominated (2019), received an honourable mention (2025) and even been a judge, and continue to dream!) It was Amer’s fragrances in particular which made me reassess my priorities.

I let my thoughts wander back to 2015 and the groundbreaking Crimes of Passion Collection - yes chums, it’s been that long - and forward to what I would use if I could do whatever I wanted. I’d done it before. Clouds Parfum from 2019 was the one. I made one batch then never repeated it. Shall we talk about water flowing under the bridge, or that you can never fall into the same river twice? So much has changed since 2019. We moved into our new home, the L-shaped mystery behind the unmarked black door, and then the great unravelling started. Pandemic, lockdown, accidentally leaving the EU and finding the door slammed shut behind us. It’s taken me a mythologically significant seven years to restore my sense of adventure to its rightful place.

By the end of 2025, a thought had rooted and grown. “Why?” it kept nudging me, “aren’t I lavishing all the lovely materials I own on my 4160Tuesdays perfumes? Why don’t I unshackle myself and create a collection so fabulous it will knock everyone’s socks off?”

It was time.

Coincidentally, “It’s Time” was one of the names I considered for Down to Us.

There's more.
