Tempest Rose - Our Shop

Tempest Rose sits top of the table in our House of Burlesque collection. It’s the first fragrance for the Queen of Modern Burlesque herself - Tempest Rose. At its heart is a rich, red, velvety rose, coloured with raspberry and iris. Sparkling on top is a buck’s fizz cocktail with hints of fresh melon. The layers unfurl to expose warm, musky skin and a waft of honey, cocoa and rice. Daring and delicious.

A celebration of confidence, empowerment, and pure entertainment, captured and bottled. We have placed tassels on these beautiful new bottles to add an extra bit of dazzle – and fun, since we’re yet to meet anyone who can pick up the bottle without trying a little tasseltwirl. Sarah has become pretty good at it.

The story behind the House of Burlesque collection

In 2023, Sarah was accepted on a wonderful business course for small creative companies, run by the British Library Business and IP Centre. There she met the inspiring Tempest Rose, founder of House of Burlesque, and this is from her manifesto:

"We believe that beauty and brains can be celebrated together and we reject the notion that beauty only comes in one size, colour or shape. We believe everyone can find their unique power, and should be free to style it how they wish, cover it in crystals, and shine without fear or judgement."

House of Burlesque is supported by the UK Arts Council, runs regular shows and classes for everyone who wants to discover their own unique power. 

So naturally Sarah and Tempest Rose decided to capture this feeling in a fragrance collection.

We asked our wonderful community to get involved by running a crowdfunding campaign. It was a huge success and today we have the House of Burlesque collection. Thank you to everyone who supported us and helped to bring confidence, empowerment, and pure entertainment into a collection of fragrances.
