Our House of Burlesque collection currently includes Tempest Rose, the queen herself and two of her supporting sisters, Skin and Sparkles.

The collection began with Tempest Rose sitting high upon her throne and the supporting Quartet: Sparkles, Skin, Satin and Smoked Sugar, lifting her even higher. Three of the original set have joined our full collection: Tempest Rose, Sparkles and Skin.

All three fragrances in this collection are about confidence, empowerment and being the boldest and bravest version of yourself, whatever that may be.

♥ Tempest Rose, a namesake fragrance for the Queen of Modern Burlesque. It’s a rich, red, velvety rose with raspberry and iris. A sparkling top with hints of fresh melon. The layers unfurl to expose warm, musky skin and a waft of honey, cocoa and rice.

♥ Sparkles is a fresh, sparkly citrus crystalline eau de parfum for added shine and brilliance; clean, clear and bright, dancing on its tiptoes.

♥ Skin is a sensual, musky, honeyed fragrance. The closer you get, the more it reveals. We used an extract of honeybush and essential oil of everlasting flower for added intrigue.

The story behind the House of Burlesque collection

In 2023, Sarah was accepted on a wonderful business course for small creative companies, run by the British Library Business and IP Centre. There she met the inspiring Tempest Rose, founder of House of Burlesque, and this is from her manifesto:

"We believe that beauty and brains can be celebrated together and we reject the notion that beauty only comes in one size, colour or shape. We believe everyone can find their unique power, and should be free to style it how they wish, cover it in crystals, and shine without fear or judgement."

House of Burlesque is supported by the UK Arts Council, runs regular shows and classes for everyone who wants to discover their own unique power. 

So naturally Sarah and Tempest Rose decided to capture this feeling in a fragrance collection.

We asked our wonderful community to get involved by running a crowdfunding campaign. It was a huge success and today we have the House of Burlesque collection. Thank you to everyone who supported us and helped to bring confidence, empowerment, and pure entertainment into a collection of fragrances.
