Tempest Rose 30ml

Tempest Rose sits top of the table in our House of Burlesque collection. It’s the first fragrance for the Queen of Modern Burlesque herself - Tempest Rose. At its heart is a rich, red, velvety rose, coloured with raspberry and iris. Sparkling on top is a buck’s fizz cocktail with hints of fresh melon. The layers unfurl to expose warm, musky skin and a waft of honey, cocoa and rice. Daring and delicious.

A celebration of confidence, empowerment, and pure entertainment, captured and bottled.

Our House of Burlesque Collection have new labels, and we're no longer sticking tassels on the bottles, as we saw someone holding the tassel, twirling the bottle and sending it flying like an unguided missile.

“It's luminous. A blushing, dewy, sunlit rose” Charlie Emma

"It’s a lovely rose that has some powder and jam, a rather subtle, smooth blend that is not likely to offend but is really likely to connect with fans of rose fragrances (like myself). It has a rather lovely refinement that prevents it from falling into the fate of being too screechy (which I find challenging) or quite sweet (which I absolutely love, so I rarely have a problem with that). Tempest Rose is unsurprisingly delightful and beautiful" - Eric Riviello

"I think it has a note of warmth that makes it different from other roses in my collection and it’s playful 🌹❤️" - Leah Burgdorf

"It is exactly how I imagined Tempest Rose: red rose, a little bit of powder for the stage and a drop of naughty musk." - Olga Petrouchenko

"Tempest is truly beautiful, Sarah. I'm going to be wearing this loads" - Charlie Emma

The story behind the House of Burlesque collection

In 2023, Sarah was accepted on a wonderful business course for small creative companies, run by the British Library Business and IP Centre. There she met the inspiring Tempest Rose, founder of House of Burlesque, and this is from her manifesto:

"We believe that beauty and brains can be celebrated together and we reject the notion that beauty only comes in one size, colour or shape. We believe everyone can find their unique power, and should be free to style it how they wish, cover it in crystals, and shine without fear or judgement."

House of Burlesque is supported by the UK Arts Council, runs regular shows and classes for everyone who wants to discover their own unique power.

So naturally Sarah and Tempest Rose decided to capture this feeling in a fragrance collection.

We asked our wonderful community to get involved by running a crowdfunding campaign. It was a huge success and today we have the House of Burlesque collection. Thank you to everyone who supported us and helped to bring confidence, empowerment, and pure entertainment into a collection of fragrances.
