Thanks for accompanying us on our perfumed adventures

Our Scenthusiasm community has been going for six years now, and it’s a big part of what it’s all about for Sarah; the community, connection and support within the perfume world.

Sarah never wanted to be one of the big boys, or girls, working for (or running) a big fancy perfume house. She wanted to enjoy perfume for its creativity, uniqueness, its ability to evoke a time, place, feeling, or even total intrigue.

It might sound a bit like it, but panic not, she's not going anywhere. It’s just our way of saying thank you to all our Scenthusiasm Patreon members who’ve supported and joined us, giving time and space for creativity and exploration.

There comes a point when running a business where you have to choose: will you put profit first at all other costs, or will you run a business you enjoy, one that does more good than harm, and be glad when things go well along the way?

Sarah chose the second option, and keeps choosing it. Even when people (me, Sinead, included) tell her things like, “Oh, the algorithm won’t like that.” And it’s often not because she disagrees, it’s because she puts her, her team’s and her customers’ experience first.

Things like the recent Vial Amnesty, discounts on refills, buying local, and keeping our artisan handmade perfumes at affordable prices. These things might not always make the most ‘business sense’, but we do them because each of these little things helps us be the kind of business we want to be.

And it’s the support from our community that allows us to do this, especially our monthly Patreon subscribers.

Thank you for making No Mow May such a success

No Mow May has quickly become one of our best-selling fragrances. It received an Honourable Mention at the 2025 Art and Olfaction Awards, sold out at the Barnes Fragrance Fair, twice! (Nick had to dash back to the studio to get more), and even came with us to the Polaris Expo in Stockholm.

No Mow May was our Scenthusiasm suburban spring gardens fragrance, and depending on their level of membership, our lovely subscribers got to try it first or even received the full formula to make it.

In our Patreon community, there are different levels of membership available. Some people receive our emails, some get surprises (smelling our fragrances first), some make perfume with us, and some get support to make and legally sell their own.

What’s wonderful is that some people are part of the community simply because they want to support this kind of perfumery.

If you're not a member already and you’re interested in joining our community, you can take a look at the membership options here - Our Scenthusiasm community on Patreon
