Paris 1948

A classic vintage floral, peach, woody scent, inspired by the great French chypres of the 1940s. So many of the great chypres – all made with a blend of oakmoss, patchouli, bergamot and other deep naturals - have disappeared, too expensive or complex for today’s tastes. They’ve also been described as ‘too dirty’ for the US mass market (surely a good thing?). Here’s one inspired by the Paris masters - working in the late 1940s as their industry was able to start creating once again - with rich heart, a fruity top and a soul of pure oakmoss.

Perfume Dialect: classic chypre

Top Notes: peach, grapefruit, basil

Heart Notes: rose, cedarwood, orange blossom, rosewood, honey

Base Notes: oakmoss, hay, musk, labdanum

Ingredients: Alcohol, Parfum, Limonene, Linalool, Evernia Prunastri (Oak Moss) Extract, Farnesol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Citral, Benzyl Benzoate.
