Meet Me On The Corner

Eau de Parfum

Our new fragrance is a scent that sums up the 1970s, updated by a half century. It’s a bit like comparing the old Mini with the new Mini; the excitement of driving the original, but with effective windscreen wipers and reliable brakes.

It’s named after the Lindisfarne song, Meet Me On The Corner, and captures days when you would arrange to meet someone, then just turn up. But we did not want to look backwards, and pine for lost loves; we are looking at the future with a fragrance to bring the excitement of 1970s citrus chypres, with a fresh 21st Century aura.

The key was discovering three essential oils: mandora – a citrus fruit cross of sweet orange and mandarin, grown in Cyprus – plus magnolia ower and magnolia leaf. Mandora gives the lemon and mandarin top note a bright new sunshiny feeling. Using magnolia instead of the traditional tuberose and rosewood brings softness to the heart of the fragrance. When Sarah smelled these in 2019, she was ready to start work on the perfume project she’d been planning for five years.

Perfume Dialect: citrus chypre

Top Notes: lemon, mandarin, mandora, clementine

Heart Notes: magnolia flowers, magnolia leaves, sandalwood, bergamot

Waking up knowing I'll wear a cool perfume makes my mornings better than they really are. That splash of citruses (mandora) and later appearance of greenery is refreshing and calming. Ready for the morning work out.

This is a great fragrance for those who haven't tried it. Citrusy and musky, with a good dose of Oakmoss. A wonderfully executed throwback to the perfume of the late 70s.
