London Craft Week 2026: Make Your Own Perfume

4160Tuesdays brings perfumery back to London Craft Week, and this year we’re offering a hands-on perfume session where you can customise one of our fragrance bases: Soft Musks, Amber Woods or Clean Hippie. All the blends you’ll use are made with organic grain ethanol.

Tickets cost £30, and you can book for the following sessions:
- Monday 11 May & Wednesday 13 May, 12pm – 7pm
- Tuesday 12 May & Thursday 14 May, 12pm – 6pm

Upstairs in our studio will be set out so you can follow suggested combinations we already know smell good together, or add whichever materials you choose from the selection available. These are beautiful bases that our expert perfumer and founder, Sarah McCartney, has created and often uses as the starting point for new fragrance formulas she is working on. She has paired them with a selection of sustainable materials, ranging from subtly beautiful to somewhat intriguing.

With the support of our perfumer, Sarah McCartney, and assistant perfumers Nicholas Field and Jon Kempton, you will be able to choose from natural materials and white biotech molecules, including Bulgarian linden blossom and elderflower extracts, sustainable Malawi vetiver, Japanese sugi wood, Paris white mushroom extract, Dreamwood, upcycled rose absolute, and cacao husk extract, Fleur de Cuir – a plant-based leather material -  vanillin made from pine wood and more.

Your 10ml creation is included in your ticket cost. If you decide that your fragrance is so lovely that you need a larger bottle, you will be able to upgrade it on the day, and order it in future, as long as you keep a record of your blend.

We suggest allowing about an hour for the experience. 

Our own collection of fragrances will be available for visitors to try and buy, including Vianne’s Confession, a cacao chypre made with author Joanne Harris, calming London Linden, award winning No Mow May and best-selling Hammersmith Tea & Biscuits.
