Pirate Queen 15ml

Another 4160Tuesdays X Çafleurebon fragrance. This scent was our fourth Queen collaboration; this time she’s the captain of a pirate ship in full sail, her aroma is rum, leather, spices, coffee, tobacco, sea water and well-scrubbed wooden decks. The scent of defying convention. It's not just for women, of course; it's for everyone who wants an adventure.

The idea came from Sarah's honorary title of Pirate Perfumer - read Sam Conniff's book Be More Pirate for context - for breaking silly rules (while still following the regulations) and making better ones, just like the actual pirates did when they escaped the cruelty and unfairness of the 17th Century British Navy. (It's better now.)

The other three previous Queens are two from Alice In Wonderland, White Queen and Red Queen, and one inspired by a fantasy book that Michelyn Carmen, Editor in Chief of Çafleurebon recommended, Dark Queen. There’s also a fifth that came later, Faerie Queen, celebrating the queen in all of us, beguiling but benevolent.
