If you adore the fragrance of a proper yuletide tree wafting around your home as the old year fades into memory, you might perhaps consider Tree Presence, a outdoor room fragrances specially created for indoors by Sarah and Harry, who also took the photo.
It's a limited edition, in a 9ml vial, or a 100ml bottle; close your eyes and picture a snow covered forest...
Here's the idea Harry had in mind:
Noël dans la Forêt Sibérienne.
It is December 1922, and a French tea merchant wanders through the Taiga. A few hours earlier, he had been happily travelling on the Trans-Siberian Railway home to his family in Paris - that was, until the locomotive malfunctioned with no hope of repair for weeks. For the past two months, he had been touring China in search of rare and exquisite teas to import to France. He had been hoping to be back in Paris for Christmas with his family, but this was looking increasingly unlikely. Deflated, he volunteered to go foraging for berries in the snow-strewn forest.
As he walked, he took small sips from an insulated flask of a particularly excellent black tea from Yunnan Province. All around him loomed junipers and spruces, and ahead a black pine oozed sweet resin. It was, he thought to himself, a truly magical place.
The possibility of recounting the beauty of this one moment to his family was, he pondered, worth missing Christmas with them.
It’s cool, green and yet strangely warming."
