A serious chypre, opening with light, fresh touch of class
We've now made nine fragrances in our vintage series: four for Living Literature at the University of London, one for London Transport Museum, one for Peroni Nastro Azurro beer and three just because we can. They are all made with materials available at the time we've dated them, so they could have been made just like this.
Paris 1948 is a chypre fragrance - made with a deep moss and balsam base, tempered with elegant bergamot - with a traditional wood and floral heart. We added top notes of peach and citrus fruits, then smoothed it off with synthetic musk.
If you love a traditional chypre, this is for you. If you're not certain, stay away; chypres are an acquired taste - one for the serious scent lover.
